Focaia Brunello di Montalcino
Focaia is born from a single 7-hectare vineyard on the southwestern slope of Montalcino, at an altitude of 450 meters.
It is a Brunello that speaks of its territory with authenticity and elegance, merging depth and freshness in a natural, harmonious balance. The soil, rich in flint stones (pietre focaie), bears witness to the volcanic origins of the land and imparts a distinct character and personality to the wine.
The nose opens with enveloping aromas of cherry, mint, and licorice, accompanied by a delicate mineral note that provides finesse and backbone. The microclimate, constantly caressed by the breeze, fosters healthy and expressive grapes, preserving the wine’s aromatic purity and poise.
In the glass, it displays an intense ruby red that evolves toward garnet hues over time. The bouquet is rich and profound, with hints of cherry, blackberry, raspberry, and violet, intertwined with elegant spicy and vanillic undertones. On the palate, it is dry, warm, and velvety—full-bodied and harmonious, with a noble structure and a long, persistent finish that leaves a sense of fullness and refinement.
